Touchet's Cajun Jam Sessions

Come pass a good time while listening and dancing to live Cajun French music. Bring your instruments and join in on the jam session! 2-6 pm.

Swamp Spirits 2024 at the Kaplan Museum

An art exhibit featuring ten different paintings of the same photograph. Each year, a swamp photograph is selected and given to area artists who put their interpretation on canvas.  The result is several paintings...the same, but all different! Open Wed.-Sat. 9 am-1pm.

Rotary Club's Annual St. Pat's Comedy for a Cause

The Abbeville Rotary Club presents an evening of comedy by David Studebaker and Mutzie. Proceeds will benefit community projects at LeBlanc Elementary, Erath Fire Department and Abbeville Christian Service Center. Evening will feature comedy plus dinner catered by AHS ProStart Culinary Team, drinks, auction and music after the comedy show.

Martin Luther King Jr Day Celebration

Enjoy a day of celebrating the life of Dr. Marting Luther King, Jr. with inspiring speeches, Unity in Diversity Celebration, food, march and more. The March will begin at 10:30am on State St. in front of Abbeville Electric and end on Concord St. in front of Magdalen Square. Program will follow March and begin at 11am. Red Beans and Rice will be served.

Located on the Boston Bayou, south of Erath and near the community of Henry, Don's Boat Landing features entertainment and fishing tournaments on scheduled weekends. Enjoy the coldest beer in town and our famous Bloody Mary's. Also onsite is a grocery store, public boat launch and boat slips and storage and more.

Elizabeth Pitcairn & Acadiana Symphony Orchestra Concert

Enjoy an evening of music by world-renowned classical violinist, Elizabeth Pitcairn performing on her famous 1720 Stradivarius Red Violin in concert with Acadiana Symphony Orchestra. They perform Virgil Thompson's Pulitzer Prize-winning score from the 1948 film Louisiana Story. This year marks the 75th Anniversary of the film's 1949 Southern Gala Premiere held in downtown Abbeville at the Frank's Theater. This concert is made possible in-part by the generosity of Eugene and Phallie Sellers with the Vermilion Historical Society.

Abbeville Farmers' & Artisans' Market

An open air market featuring seasonal produce, eggs, local honey, wine, herbs, preserves and handmade and homemade items on sale from 8 am-1 pm. Food and refreshments will be available for purchase.

Sounds on the Square Spring Series: Whiskey Bay

Join us under the beautiful Magdalen Square Oaks for an evening of music by Whiskey Bay.  Bring your lawn chairs and blankets! 5:30-8:30 pm.

Erath's Easter in the Park

Come to Erath City Park for the annual a 3 on 3 basketball tournament. Take a selfies with the Easter Bunny or play family games from 10am-noon. Easter egg hunt will begin at 11am! 

"If Headstones Could Talk..." Living History Cemetery Tour

Take a guided, living history tour of the cemetery and listen as "residents" recount stories of what life was like in Abbeville in the 1800's. Tickets are available at The Depot or Abbeville City Hall.  Tours will depart every 30 minutes from the Depot at Magdalen Place, begining at 5:30pm til the last scheduled tour.
