It's the first day after winter break at East High. The Jocks, Brainiacs, Thespians and Skater Dudes find their cliques, recount their vacations and look forward to the new year. Basketball team captain and resident jock, Troy, discovers that the brainy Gabriella, a girl he met singing karaoke on his ski trip, has just enrolled at East High. They cause an upheaval when they decide to audition for the high school musical that is being led by Ms. Darbus.

Join us for an old-time Cajun Mardi Gras Run and Trail Ride. Run and Trail ride begins on Saturday at 9 am at the Duck Festival Grounds and continues through the countryside. At 3pm, the run will join the Gueydan Mardi Gras Parade down Main Street. Live music will follow the Run at the Duck Festival Grounds. Food will be available for purchase on the run and at the Duck Festival Grounds.

Hippity Hop on over to Palmetto Island State Park for an Easter Egg Hunt in the Splash Pad area from 9-11am. Bring your Easter basket since there will be plenty of eggs to be found!

A celebration of horticulture and all that it involves from plants, garden accessories, educational speakers and food booths. Sale booths will include: Daylilies, Hibiscus, Rare and Unusual Plants, Garden Supplies, Tools, Patio Items, Birdhouses, and more all underneath the beautiful oaks in Magdalen Square. 8:30am-3pm

Outdoor seafood market that provides consumers access to local, fresh and sustainable foods via Louisiana farmers and fishermen while promoting and preserving our cultural heritage. 9 am-1 pm.

An event to highlight the Sicilian culture in Vermilion Parish with cooking contest, live music, Sam Guarino Blacksmith Shop Museum tours, and more from 10 am-3 pm. There will be cookbooks, souvenirs, Sicilian/Italian food, imported wine and beer and more available for purchase.
